  • Teaching methodologies – holder of CELTA certificate accredited by the University of Cambridge (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) and using pragmatic blend of methods in courses.  I continually update my skills.
  • Flexible scheduling – I understand that senior executives (and others) have demanding schedules and occasionally need to postpone or reschedule lessons
  • Individual or small groups on your premises. Frequency and duration of lessons is decided between us
  • Personally tailored courses – content within my structure is totally customised. For example: Role plays, Articles, Videos, Exercises and Lectures are changed for a relevant and stimulating experience.
  • Interaction skills – ( speaking and listening) are generally key but the mix including reading and writing is adapted to reflect your needs
  • Repeat business - every client has booked more lessons after their initial course. No-one wants to stop!
  • 30 hour course - you increase your level by one increment on the CEFR (European Framework of Reference for Languages) Classes are delivered face to face, online or in a combination
  • Conversation classes - you will start to feel comfortable making small talk, chatting and exchanging news in English. You'll be in an online group of maximum 3 students plus your teacher for a flexibly scheduled half hour weekly or bi-weekly slot
  • On demand/Self-service courses - at your own pace and schedule you work largely independently towards the goals you define  with your teacher by carrying out the activities set. Skills will cover any mix of reading, writing, speaking and listening and your work is returned to your teacher for feedback, evaluation and coaching according to needs
  • Curriculum example for practise-based tasks: Telling a story, Summarising a solution, Questioning and gathering information, Interviewing supplier or candidate, Giving a presentation, Chairing a meeting, Negotiating a price or service, Handling telephone calls, Small talk before meeting or reception, Structuring an argument and persuading, Defending an idea, Troubleshooting a machine or process, Writing letters of application/CVs, Writing recommendations, Writing reports and feasibility studies, Writing emails, newsletters or blogposts
  • Benchmarking and quality assurance - competencies taught are benchmarked against Cambridge University Press materials for English Language Teaching such as the “Empower Series” and resources from Cambridge Assessment English which lead to recognised accreditations.
